Current research interests are focused on the role of Notch signaling pathway in the angiogenic microenvironment (namely, mural cells and macrophages) in developmental and pathological angiogenesis. Particularly I am interested in arteriovenous malformations, diabetic retinopathy and tumor angiogenesis.

Assistant Professor, Physiology and Biophysics

We are focused on deciphering the genetic and cell biological regulation of tubulogenesis; the process of biological tube formation and maintenance. We use C. elegans and vertebrate models of tubulogenesis to discover and understand genes involved in this process.
